Sqlcmd

Description

This lets you make a single, non-blocking request to the MySQL daemon. Queries follow the format of any standard SQL query. See http://www.mysql.com/doc/ for documentation on formatting queries.

The result of the query is returned via a tell_creator in the call back function.

The standard database is 'survivor'.

Example

> sqlcmd discworld 'select count( * ) from Tricks'
> /cmds/creator/sqlcmd:
flag: 0
({ /* sizeof() == 1 */
  ([ /* sizeof() == 1 */
    'count( * )' : 361,
  ])
})

> sqlcmd discworld 'select TrickId, TrickName from Tricks where Author='tannah''

> /cmds/creator/sqlcmd: flag: 0 ({ /* sizeof() == 3 */ ([ /* sizeof() == 2 */ 'TrickName' : 'tannah's trick of rememberin', 'TrickId' : 139, ]), ([ /* sizeof() == 2 */ 'TrickName' : 'leetle trick', 'TrickId' : 369, ]), ([ /* sizeof() == 2 */ 'TrickName' : 'wossit', 'TrickId' : 370, ]) })

Syntax Forms

sqlcmd <db> "<query>"
sqlcmd table <db> "<query>"
sqlcmd previous
sqlcmd previous table
